About Our Elderly Care Home
If you are looking for an elderly care home near Woking, then Jackman’s Lodge is the ideal place. Set near the charming village of St. John’s, nestled down a beautiful tree-lined road, this is an idyllic, warm and welcoming family-run care home offering excellent care to every resident. We consider ourselves to be a true family here and are proud to have a low staff turnover rate, meaning that the same familiar faces will continue to care for residents while truly getting to know them. Our independent living care home provides our residents with a safe and welcoming environment that offers your loved one everything they need to relax and enjoy their time with us. Whether they’re a long-term care resident or are visiting for a short respite stay, they’ll become a member of our extended family here at Jackman’s Lodge.
Senior Care Home Providers
Our Dedicated Team
Our experienced team of owners, management, senior carers and care assistants each plays a key part in the day-to-day overseeing of our family-run elderly care home. They each provide residents with assistance, reassurance and companionship, whilst encouraging them to live independently within our home where possible.
Take Part or Just Relax
Life in a care home should be a continuation of the life that residents wished to live before at home, simply made a little more accessible with the help of our dedicated team. While we encourage independent living and healthy eating, helping residents to live a full and active life, there are absolutely no expectations of anybody. If you’d prefer to sit and relax in the comfort of your own room, then there is absolutely no obligation to participate in our elderly care home activities. We endeavour to provide a wide variety of activities each tailored towards meeting the interests of each resident. There is truly something for everybody to enjoy when staying at our senior care home.
An Elderly Care Home With A Difference
The Little Luxuries
We also have an on-site hair and beauty salon, so our senior residents can enjoy a little pampering or relax in our spa bath. All of this is surrounded by our lovely landscaped gardens, offering our residents an opportunity to spend time outdoors, enjoying the fresh air. We have beautiful lawns and patio areas, with plenty of outdoor seating space for our elderly care home residents to sit back and enjoy the sun. At our independent living care home, we encourage our residents to continue doing the things they enjoyed before starting their time at Jackman’s Lodge.
George’s name was written into horticultural history thanks to his work on early clematis hybrids. Notably the first of the modern large-flowered hybrid clematises of gardens – the Clematis Jackmanii – was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society’s First-Class Certificate in August 1863. It’s this beautiful climber that inspired the Jackman’s Lodge logo. Keep an eye out for its rich purple flowers when you’re exploring our garden, along with the large, rare and established trees brought back to St. John’s by the Jackman family.
Here at Jackman’s Lodge, we put our senior residents first in all that we do – and of course, you would expect nothing less. To ensure that we never lose sight of this, we set ourselves high standards; our Residents’ Charter is a declaration of rights that centres on our core values and encompasses fulfilment, dignity, autonomy, individuality and esteem. This means we always know that the needs of each and every resident are met – and exceeded where possible – to help them reach an optimum level of health and well-being.
